  • How did he die? On October 3, 1849, Poe was found delirious on the street of Baltimore. We will never know what was really happened with Edgar Allan Poe.

THE GOTHIC NOVEL:

1. Who invented the gotic novel? What was the title of the first novel? When was it published?

  • It was invented for Horace Walpole, the first novel was "The Castel of Otranto" in the year 1764 and it was published in England.
2. Wich basic elements of horror do you remember from the introductory lesson?

  • Omens, approaching, slamming shut, necromancer, sorcerer, goblins, ominous, afflicted, concern, dreading. despair, dismal, frantic, dismal.
3. Choose one of the topics on DISCOVERING LITERATURE and write a post:
